Sheepshead Review

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Since we are a student-run publication, our reading periods typically run from early September to mid-October and from late January to late February.

We accept poetry, fiction, nonfiction, visual arts pieces.

In addition, we are accepting interactive pieces! Platforms include Twine, YouTube, Google maps, and more. If your interactive piece is selected for publication, we will feature it on the Sheepshead Review website with our web-exclusive content and shout it out in our print journal.

Terms and conditions can be found on our website (http://sheepsheadreview.com/) under the submit tab.

Specific Genre Guidelines are listed below.

Fiction/Nonfiction: Please limit works to 3000 words or less and include the final word count in the header. Flash and micro pieces are welcome!

Poetry: For submissions containing multiple pieces, we ask that the submission title be formatted as follows: "Poem 1 Title; Poem 2 Title; Poem 3 Title". Each submission should also be submitted as separate documents, instead of several submissions in one document.

Visual Arts: Please make sure that the resolution for all submissions is at least 300dpi. Each submission should also be submitted as a separate document, instead of several submissions in one document.

Students/Alumni of UW-Green Bay: To help us keep our “blind” submission review process fair, please remove your name from your submission.  If you are a current student please make sure you use your UWGB e-mail.

High School Students: Please include the name of your high school or if you are homeschooled in the cover letter section of your submission.
